Continue the protests at the ballot box

People across the country have risen up demanding action on the cost of living. People were already struggling to get by, now they are paying for Trump’s new wars. But the government refused to protect people by introducing price controls.

This by-election is a chance to make them pay. We need to get rid of Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and the Lowry independents who support them. They represent those who profit from the cost of living crisis, housing crisis and health crisis, not those who suffer from them.

Cap prices and provide supports

People power works. A left victory can be a stepping stone to electing a left government. Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin would be a socialist TD organising people power and a struggle for a city we can afford to live in.

Another Ireland is possible. This by-election is a chance to demand real action on the cost of living: lower fuel and energy costs, free and frequent public transport, emergency support for those under the most pressure, and investment in renewables and retrofitting to bring bills down for good.

END VACANCY AND DERELICTION

Use it or lose it

Dublin Central has one of the highest rates of vacancy and dereliction in the country. We need use-it-or-lose-it powers to force speculators and owners to bring properties back into use. Councils must be funded to renovate vacant and derelict buildings and turn them into homes and local amenities for the community.

END WAITING LISTS FOR CHILDREN WITH ADDITIONAL NEEDS

Equality in Education

Children and families are being left waiting far too long for Assessment of Need and for essential therapies. We need far more therapists in our CDNTs - we can do this by expanding college places on therapy courses, creating new permanent positions in the HSE and improving pay and conditions.

VALUE YOUTH & COMMUNITY WORK

Our communities deserve better

Support expansion of youth work and youth services including street outreach to groups of hard-to-reach young people. Support expansion of diversion programmes. Enhance funding to family support services and Local Drugs and Alcohol Taskforces, enhance SICAP funding.

more play & sporting facilities

A living and lively city

I will fight for funding for more pitches, playgrounds, all-weather facilities and public fitness equipment. I will stand with those defending existing facilities under threat.

END DEVELOPER-LED PLANNING

Build communities, not just 'housing units'

Deliver homes that meet our needs, not unaffordable build-to-rent apartment complexes.

A CLEANER, GREENER DUBLIN

Return waste collection to Dublin City Council

I will continue to campaign for the return of waste collection to Dublin City Council, and the abolition of bin charges. We need increased staffing in waste management and the DCC Parks Department to ensure higher standards across the area.

A worker's TD, on a worker's wage

"I pledge to only accept an average workers’ wage if elected. It is obscene that TDs are receiving high salaries while people suffer the cost of living crisis. I will use the rest of the money to help local clubs, community groups and campaigns.”
